TV Antenna Eave Mount

Q. I am considering an eave mount.  I had a chimney mount.  80 MPH winds destroyed my chimney.  No more chimney mounts for me.  Anyhow, if I mount on the eave, is there a safe maximum limit I can go with on the mast?  I was considering maybe 10 feet above the top bracket.  Would this be wise?  Thanks for the contrubution your site makes to the less informed like me!  John

A. The distance that you can extend the mast pipe out of the eave mount is determined by two factors. The size of the antenna and the strength of your fascia board. On large antennas the size of the HD 7082P and larger I keep it to 5 feet or less. On smaller antennas I have used 10 feet without issue.
Best Regards,
Denny
