Hi Dennis,
Maybe you've, for a moment, wondered what has happened to me for a week (?). Well, I kept
checking cable Connectors but never improved anything. I remembered (when I purchased my
last TV) some mention of a local cable-hater one-man operation that came highly recommended...
since I was becoming convinced that something had to be wrong that I was unable to describe to
you via phone or email. I got his phone number and called him. His only promise was...
"I can fix it"!!! Ironically, his business name is "cable busters", a mom-pop operation out of their home.
>
He arrived and surveyed the situation. His first glance at the miniMAX brought laughter, saying,
"you would be lucky to pull 10 miles with that little runt"! Next he went under my house where DISH
had placed my antenna cable on a three-way splitter (also where I had installed the voltage block).
He advised immediately..... THERE IS THE REAL PROBLEM! He immediately started cable surgery to
by-pass any and all splitters associated with the power going to the pre-amp at the antenna...
THAT WAS THE PROBLEM! When he finished, your description of what should happen.....DID HAPPEN!
My reception is GREAT!!!! Thank you for the package! Mr. cable buster did finally acknowledge that he
found it amazing what the miniMAX, with pre-amp, could actually do. I've pulled in several additional
stations that I'm still working with (to calibrate at the box).
Again, thanks....

Hi Joe,
Thank goodness for the cable buster! Let that man no if he would like installation business referred to
him just let me know. I'm certainly glad their was someone available that new what to look for and found
the problem. That little antenna is amazing I had it manufactured and designed just for us.

If you get a chance take a couple of pictures of the installation and I'll put them on the miniMAX photo
gallery page.
Thank you for being our customer.

I didn't get to the install till this weekend. BTW, I had previously been using an indoor table-top tv
antenna and when the miniMAX antenna I got from you arrived I was so excited that I "installed" it by
connecting it up while propped up next to my tv.
Even though this is not a recommended nor professional installation, I immediately got twice the number
of stations and got the ones I was previously getting much, much clearer. All the HD ones come in great
now and, get this, the antenna is in my basement!
I can't wait to get it outside, a little higher and point it in the right direction. I'll probably get NASA with
this baby.
Thanks again and have a good day!

I found your miniMAX to be the best HDTV antenna I have tried. Thank you for steering me in that direction.

Denny,
I got the minimax antenna installed Saturday, WOW! what a difference an antenna can make. I was previously
using a Terk antenna for my HD reception. I could get some of the HD channels from Chicago but some would
go in and out and I could never get CBS 2 HD. I installed the minimax outside about 10 feet above ground on
my eave with the HDP 269 preamplifier you suggested. I now get all of the HD stations from Chicago even
channel 2. I have been using it now for about a week and have yet to loose the signal on any of the channels.
I want to thank you for the great antenna and the prompt service, I really didn't expect to get the order in two days.
I'll recommend you guys to everyone.

Denny-you nailed it. I installed the mini max antenna you recommended to me in my attic. Pointed it towards
San Bruno mountain, installed the HDP 269 preamplifier, connected to my HDTV, and I get every channel
perfectly.
I really appreciate the time you took to answer my email and point me to the correct antenna.
Thanks,

P.S. When I get a chance I will take a picture of the antenna in my attic. It's up there setting on a
cardboard box.

Hello Denny,
I'm confused by all the info on the web about HDTV antennas. After reading your site and going to
http://www.antennaweb.org/, I'm sending what I hope is the information you need to point me in the right direction.
Address: ____________ Ln. Mustang, OK 73064
Number of TV's: 2 HD, 1 Analog - planning on a total of 4 HD
Digital/Analog: Both until signal is turned off.
Outside or Attic: Prefer Attic due to high winds, sever thunderstorms and occasional heavy snow.
Our location is SW of Oklahoma City.
According to antennaweb the majority of towers that we receive signals from are N.E.(aprox 18 miles away),
the rest are East to S.E. The ones to the East and SE we receive sometimes(seems like at night)
A major airport is due west.
We have a wireless internet antenna on the roof - south side pointed SW.
We currently have indoor antennas on each TV, with good digital reception on 4-6 channels,
one(ABC is never good) the analog reception on the HD's is ok. The analog tv has snow all the time.
I would prefer not to have a rotator.
Any other info you need - please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help

Greetings Larry,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I have been overwhelmed with emails the past couple
of weeks.
I examined your reception conditions and here is what I found. All of the digital/HD transmitters are
located to your North - Northeast except TEL 29.1. This station is a very low powered station to your
East - Southeast. All of the remainder of the stations are all to your NNW.
The absolute best choice for your location is the miniMAX antenna. I had this antenna designed to
my specification for locations just like yours. I think you can mount it in the attic and get great
reception as long as there are no signal obstructing materials such as aluminum siding, foil faced
insulation, brick, etc... in the path to the transmitters.
>
In the unlikely event you do need to mount outside don't worry this antenna will hold up to nearly
anything. I just received an email yesterday from a man just outside of Tulsa who reported his miniMAX
to his disbelief made it through the ice. Along with the antenna I suggest the Winegard AP 8700
preamplifier. I don't believe any additional amplification will be needed to supply all 4 TV's with signal.
If we find additional amplification is needed a DA 25 distribution amplifier installed just ahead of the
signal splitter will do the trick. I would hold off though I doubt that you will need it. The antenna can be mounted in a stationary position with the narrow end pointing NNW.
I am very confident that this equipment properly installed (I'm here to help if you need it) will provide
you with excellent reception for both analog and digital/HD signals.
If you would like detailed information on how to install the equipment, or if I can assist you in any way,
please don't hesitate to contact me.
Product Status = in stock
