Digital TV Antenna Selector. Try our interactive digital TV antenna selector. It's easy and it's accurate! > > Florence 29505 > > I have neighbors 2 doors down with a ham radio and a large antenna. Usually I can hear them talk thru my surround sound system. > Question 1. Is there anything I can do about that? Question 2. Will his set-up cause interference with my reception us the Winegard HD 7084P Question 3. How high would I need to go mast wise for good reception and what accessaries do I need? I have an HDTV. I live in Florence, South Carolina. > Note: Cable people are pricing out of their business!! Zip code is 29505 Thanks, Edward > > Greetings Edward, > The FCC does have rules to restrict interference caused by amateur radio operators. I would contact them for more information. Their are different rules governing Citizen Band (CB) and Ham Radio Operators so try to find out what type of radio your neighbor has. > I can not say for sure if your neighbors radio broadcasts would interfere with your TV reception. The HD 7084P TV antenna rejects signals from the sides and back extremely well. It would be the best choice for your situation. > The height an antenna needs to be installed varies from location to location. For an example if your home was located in a river valley forty feet below the general ground level than the antenna would need to be mounted at least forty one feet in the air to obtain a line of site with the TV transmitters. The opposite holds true if you live on a hill. Generally speaking the antenna should clear your roof line for best results. > Your TV transmitters are in different direction from your location and would require an antenna rotor for best results. Your ABC, CBS and CW affiliates are located in Florence at 64 degrees and the PBS is also in Florence at 9 degrees. Your closest FOX channel is in Myrtle Beach at 91 degrees and your NBC is located in Columbia at 276 degrees. All of these channels are obtainable from your location by pointing the antenna to the proper direction. > With the radio broadcasts nearby I would not recommend an antenna preamplifier. > If I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me. Best Regards, Denny I am so pleased with all the information on your site. Next month my husband and I are dumping Direct TV and installing a rooftop antenna. (We never watch all those 150 channels and are tired of spending money each month on the satellite service.) I am in Greenville SC, ZIP code, 29617. We have been looking at a Winegard MS 2000, which we would mount with one of your eaves mounting kits. Is this a good choice for our area? Thanks so much for your help-- and we look forward to doing business with you. blessings, Missy_______ ___________ Circle Greenville, SC 29617 > > Greetings Missy, > All of the network stations are available at your location. However, one is just on the edge of having the signal strength required for good performance using the MS 2000. ABC channel 13 is a little weak and may not come in perfectly using the MS 2000. It will come in but it may have a little grain or slight snow in the picture. > The alternative would be the miniMAX TV antenna, the Winegard HDP 269 preamplifier and a rotor. This combination would provide you with certain excellent reception on all of the stations. If it were me I would try the MS 2000 and if the performance is not satisfactory return it for a refund and only go with the larger antenna and equipment if necessary. > I think the eave mount is a good choice for either antenna you choose. > This equipment properly installed (I'm here to help if you need it) will provide you with reception for both analog and digital/HD signals. > If you would like detailed information on how to install the equipment, or if I can assist you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. > Best Regards, Denny Duplessis TV Antenna Source 1-800-528-9984 3758 W. Washington Rd. Ithaca, Mi. 48847 http://www.dennysantennaservice.com> >Little River 29566 > >To whom it may concern, > Here is the information for my TV antenna recommendation of follows: > 1. The street address, including the zip code of where the TV antenna is to be installed. ________________ Run, Little River, SC 29566 > 2. The number of TV locations that will receive TV signals from the antenna. >>1 TV's and 1 FM stereo receiver. > 3. Will you be using the antenna for analog reception until the analog signals are turned off or just --. digital/HD reception ? >> Just digital/HD reception. > 4. Do you intend to use the TV antenna outside or in your attic Etc... >> I would like one recommendation for on attic installation (asphalt shingles on roof) and another recommendation for an >>outside installation (possibly mounting it on my DirecTV dish). > 5. Also include any additional information that you feel pertains to your particular reception --.conditions. > Thanks, Bill W.> >Greetings Bill, > According to the reception data the EZ-HD TV antenna should do a great job. Along with the antenna I suggest the AP 8700 mast mounted preamplifier. The antenna can be installed in a stationary position with the narrower end of the antenna pointing Northeasterly. > The EZ-HD should work well in the attic or outside. However, all antennas perform better outside. I suggest that you try it in the antic first, drop the coax cable down to the TV and try it.. If you obtain satisfactory reception install it in a more permanent manner. If the reception isn't adequate move it outdoors. I suggest this with all attic installations when possible. > One other note, switch the FM trap on the mast portion of the AP 8700 to the out position for the best FM reception. You don't have to be concerned with the variable FM trap. ↓ >
Winegard Mast Mounted Preamplifier - FM filter trap >
I am very confident that this equipment properly installed (I'm here to help if you need it) will provide you with excellent digital/HD reception. > If you would like step by step detailed information on how to install the equipment, or if I can assist you in anyway, please don't hesitate to contact me. > Best Regards, Denny Duplessis TV Antenna Source "Helping America Watch Free TV" |
