8. Include any additional information you feel may be helpful when evaluating your reception conditions.: Many trees between antenna and staions

Hello Bill,

Normally at the distance your location is from the transmitters (18 mi.) I would recommend the EZ HD antenna. However, as you said the trees are very dense at your location. In this case I'm recommending the HD Stacker TV antenna. The additional performance provided by the HD Stacker will offset the effects of the trees. Install the antenna aiming East/Southeast. When supplying 4 TVs a signal amplifier such as the HDA 100 signal amplifier installed in line on the antenna side of the signal splitter will be a definite benefit.

If you have any questions please feel free to reply.

Hello Terry,

The TV antenna best suited to meet the reception conditions is the EZ HD antenna. The antenna can be installed in a stationary position aiming north-northeast. In this position it will receive one channel of every network from Toledo plus the PBS station located to your south-southwest. Along with the antenna I recommend the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier. The preamplifier will enhance the over all performance and insure a strong usable signal reaches both TV locations in your home. I'm very confident the suggested equipment will provide outstanding TV reception at your location.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reply.

Approximately how long will the coax cable run be from the antenna to the TV. If a signal splitter is in use how long will the cable run be from the antenna to the furthest TV: 90'

Hi Dennis,

I have three options that will work well at your location.

There are both VHF and UHF signals available.

1. The EZ HD VHF/UHF TV antenna. If you install the antenna aiming South you will receive all of the Cincinnati channels. Along with the antenna use the HDA 100 signal amplifier installed within a 50 foot coax cable run from the antenna on the antenna side of the signal splitter.

2. Add a rotor to the #1 system above and have the option to receive both the Cincinnati and Akron channels.

3. Install the EZ HD antenna aiming South and the HD Stacker TV antenna aiming North/Northeast. Couple the two antennas together with the CC 7870 antenna coupler and amplify the signal using the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier. This system will provide reception from both Cincinnati and Akron without the need to adjust the antenna.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reply.

Hi Paul,

As you know you are directly between Cincinnati and Dayton.  You can install the
EZ HD TV antenna aiming to either NNE for Dayton or SSW to receive Columbus channels. Another option is to install the EZ HD bi-directional antenna system #1. This system will provide reception from both location without the need for antenna adjustment. Aim one antenna NNE and the other SSW and receive the channels from both cities without the need to adjust the antenna. The signal strength of the Columbus stations at your location is a little below the level that would allow the use of an omni-directional antenna.

If you have any question don't hesitate to contact me.

7. Approximately how long will the coax cable run be from the antenna to the TV. If a signal splitter is in use how long will the cable run be from the antenna to the furthest TV: 50 - 60 feet

Hello Boyd,

All of the TV transmitters are located to your East except the CW station. To receive all channels including CW I recommend the MS 1000 omnidirectional antenna. Along with the antenna install the HDA 100 signal amplifier in line on the antenna side of the signal splitter within a 50 foot coax cable run from the antenna. This set up will receive all of the stations without the need to adjust the antenna direction.

If you have any questions or if I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hello Jeff,

Your location is only 24 miles from most of the transmitting towers. However, the TV signals are weaker than the distance to the transmitters would suggest. The reason for this is the signal path runs directly through a hill to your north-northwest near the intersection of Lithopolis Rd and Rockmill Rd. Considering all factors I recommend the HD Stacker TV antenna. This is a high performance antenna that will counteract the effects of the hill and provide you with good reliable reception. Along with the antenna use the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier. Install the antenna aiming north-northwest.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

7. Approximately how long will the coax cable run be from the antenna to the TV. If a signal splitter is in use how long will the cable run be from the antenna to the furthest TV: 65 to 85

Hi Don,

The TV signals in your area are both VHF and UHF. Most are rated weak in strength and the transmitters are located in various directions. The antenna best suited to receive weaker VHF and UHF signals is the HD Stacker TV antenna. Along with the antenna it would be a benefit to use a preamplifier. A very good choice is the AP 8780 preamplifier. If you don't already have one you will need a rotor so you can aim the antenna appropriately.

If you have any questions or if I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me.

8. Hello Jennifer,

The EZ HD TV antenna is a great choice for the location. The antenna should be installed aiming North/Northeast. I wouldn't worry about the wind much. The EZ HD catches very little wind so you shouldn't have any problems. Along with the antenna use the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

7. Approximately how long will the coax cable run be from the antenna to the TV. If a signal splitter is in use how long will the cable run be from the antenna to the furthest TV: 50'

Hello David,

Most of the transmitting towers are located to your west/northwest except the CW network transmitter and a NBC station from Zanesville. The antenna best suited to meet the reception conditions is the HD Stacker TV antenna. The antenna can be installed aiming WNW and receive the majority of the channels. However, to receive the CW and the NBC from Zanesville will require an antenna rotor to aim the antenna.

Along with the antenna use the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier. The AP 8700 will enhance the overall performance and boost the signal so all 3 TVs in your home will receive a strong signal.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi Jerry,

The EZ HD TV antenna and the AP 8780 antenna preamplifier combination is a very good choice for your location. If you install the antenna aiming ENE it will receive all of the Cleveland stations. There are a couple of channels available that are located east and WSW that would require antenna rotation to be received but the majority of the channels come from Cleveland and can be received with the antenna aiming east-northeast.

We do take money orders. You can check out in our online store and choose the option to send check or money order. Or you can call to place the order.
Send the money order to the address on the website.
