Greetings,

The New York TV channels are approximately 65 miles from your location. Unfortunately there isn’t a compact antenna that can deliver reliable digital reception at that distance. I recommend the Winegard HD 7082P VHF/UHF/DTV TV antenna along with the AP 8700 antenna amplifier. This combination should provide excellent digital and analog reception from New York City day in and day out. Also to receive signals from Philadelphia and other surrounding location an antenna rotor would be required to position the antenna for best results.
If I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi Denny,
I was looking for a good TV antenna and had to stop at your web site. I must say your web site has a complete information.
I couldn't determine a good antenna for me. Need help in determining. My address is
512 ________ Drive,
Edison, NJ - 08817.
I live in first floor. There are trees infront of my house and my balcony is in the back. I can't put the antenna on the roof as my lease office will not allow to put on the roof.
Could you please help me in determining a good TV antenna.
Regards,
Ram

All of the TV transmitters are located to the East/Northeast of your location. Most have a reasonably strong signal but a few are weaker. I doubt that any indoor antenna will provide quality reception on all of the stations available. Is it possible to place the antenna on the balcony or somewhere outside where the the antenna can be position pointing NNE where the signal can be received without having to penetrate the building? If so your best choice is the EZ-HD antenna
>
If the EZ-HD antenna is a little to large the next best choice is the SS 2000 antenna. This antenna would do a good job but not quite as good as the EZ-HD. Even if you can place the SS 2000 in a window facing NNE it would be much better then a set top antenna.

Greetings Paul,

You have two choices. To receive the New York channels the Winegard HD 7080P TV antenna would do an excellent job. I would also recommend the Winegard AP 8700 antenna preamplifier to insure crystal clear reception. Your second choice if you would like to receive the Philadelphia channels along with the New York channels. I recommend the Winegard HD 7082P TV antenna, the AP 8700 antenna preamplifier and a antenna rotor. I am confident both of the above choices would provide excellent reception at your location.

Hello,
>
The street address is ____________ Drive, Hillsborough, NJ ZIP 08844
>
There will be 2 TV locations
  1. Analog reception until analog signal is turned off then use converter boxes.
  2. I am thinking of mounting the antenna on the balcony of a second floor aparment building.
  3. There is very little obstructions where i want to mount the antenna.

Thanks,
Larry

Greetings Larry,

I examined your reception data and found that the
miniMAX antenna would be a perfect choice. If you upgraded to digital reception now the smaller EZ-HD TV antenna would be perfect. The reason for this is the EZ-HD antenna is designed to receive channels 7 and above allowing it to be much narrower. Your area has analog channels 2, 4, and 5 requiring the wider miniMAX antenna to capture the longer wavelength of these lower numbered channels. However, digitally all channels in your area are above 7 making the smaller EZ-HD a better choice for digital reception. Along with either antenna I suggest the AP 8700 mast mounted preamplifier. This will insure good strong signal reaches both TV's.
>
The antenna can be installed in a stationary position with the narrower end of the antenna pointing East/Northeast. This position will give you quality reception on all of the NYC channels.

I am very confident that this equipment properly installed (I'm here to help if you need it) will provide you with excellent reception.

Greetings,
>
I examined the reception data for your location and found that the EZ-HD TV antenna is a great match for digital/HD reception at your location. The antenna can be installed in a fixed position with the narrower end of the antenna pointing just a little North of East. This position will provide you with great reception on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, MNT, ION, CW, TFA, SAH, UNI, IND, and all of their sub channels. Along with the antenna I suggest the AP 8700 mast mounted preamplifier. These stations will likely come in without the preamplifier. However, the preamplifier will help maintain reception during times of poor reception conditions.

Hi, thanks for making an antenna =ecommendation for me.. here's my information....
>
1.   _____________ Drive Mount Holly NJ 08060
2.   10-15 locations or more if possible
3.  Only digital/HD =eception
4.  Mounted Outside (probably to the chimney) on my two story colonial home
5.  I live close to the middle of a medium sized town. A half mile to a mile from here in town is a few government buildings that are 10 to 20 stories tall. I think im just interested in getting the biggest antenna available to grab as many channels as I can.
I need to shop on a budget though also if possible.  Thanks again for the recommendation.

Greetings Dale,

You don't need a big antenna at your location to get good digital reception. I suggest the EZ-HD TV antenna. The antenna can be mounted in a stationary position with the narrower end of the antenna pointing North/Northwest. This position will provide reception on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, ION, TBN, UNI, MNT, CW and all of their sub channels.
>
To supply multiple TV locations using a signal splitter I suggest the HDA 200 distribution amplifier installed just ahead of the signal splitter on the antenna side.
>
I am very confident that this equipment properly installed (I'm here to help if you need it) will provide you with excellent reception for both analog and digital/HD signals.
