TV Antenna Selection for Idaho

Boise ?????

Hi,
I live at ____________ Drive in Boise Idaho, and am wondering if the MS2000 would be a good antenna for that location.  Would you be able to tell me if it would work well there?
Thanks,
John

Greetings John,
I took a look at the stations at your location. I do have one concern because of the close proximity of the transmitters to your location, 8 within 10 miles. Any amplified antenna may overload under those conditions. The MS 2000 TV antenna may work I can't say it won't. However I am more comfortable recommending either the Winegard PR 7015 TV antenna or the HD 7080P TV antenna without an amplifier pointed at 30 degrees. The HD 7080 antenna is more durable than the PR 7015. Under normal conditions you can expect the PR 7015 to last from 10 to 15 years and the HD 7080 can give 20 plus years of service. Of course you are welcome to try the MS 2000 and return it for a refund or full credit towards an additional purchase.
If I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Denny

Post Falls 83854

Hello, was wondering if you could tell me what antenna would work best in Post Falls, Id 83854. Also was considering putting it up in the rafters of the garage. Any input would be helpful.
Brian

Greetings Brian,
Your main broadcast channels come from two directions. You have Coeur d'Alene stations at 68 degrees at a distance of 10 miles, Spokane stations at 227 and 314 degrees at a distance of about 20 miles and a few others in various other directions. All of these channels are within range of the Winegard MS 2000 omnidirectional TV antenna. The only concern I have with this recommendation is multi path interference. The Coeur d'Alene stations will be strong and may reflect off materials nearby the antenna causing double imaging or shadowing when the antenna is placed in the attic. I certainly would try it there but understand it may have to be mounted outside if this occurs Another alternative is a small directional antenna such as the Winegard PR 7015 TV antenna along with a antenna rotor or without a rotor if you desire only one of the above mentioned broadcasting markets.
If I can assist you further please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Denny
